Course Information
Dates: March 10 - April 20, 2008
Time & Location: The online course materials and discussion forums are Internet-based. This means that you can access them anytime, from anywhere.
Instructor: Ted Lewis, facilitator, is a pastor and HIV/AIDS counselor who has been involved in HIV ministry for over 20 years. Ted served as a workshop facilitator at the 2006 Cooperative Baptist Fellowship HIV/AIDS Summit in Atlanta, GA.
Cost: $100 (Scholarships are available to cover 50% of tuition fees.)

Participants will explore the symptoms of spiritual abuse, how to identify it, understand it, treat it and make a helpful referral. This workshop is relevant to social workers in many areas of service including mental health and aging, and work with hospice patients, those grieving, drug addicts, juvenile delinquents, and the incarcerated. This workshop will apply insights in helping to treat oneself as well as victims of spiritual abuse.

Recovery Symposium
Building an agenda for research and implementation that supports recovery based systems of care.
Philadelphia the Great Lakes ATTC, Northeast ATTC, Faces and Voices of Recovery and the Philadelphia Department of Human Services are combining efforts to hold a 1.5 day Symposium on building an agenda for research and implementation that supports recovery based systems of care. The Symposium will also focus on the lessons learned from those currently implementing these changes in their states.
