The College of Notre Dame of Maryland offers programs of study at the undergraduate, graduate and professional levels, as well as a weekend college. Founded in 1873 by the School Sisters of Notre Dame (SSND), the College of Notre Dame of Maryland was the first Catholic college for women to award the four–year baccalaureate degree. Both the Weekend College and the Graduate Studies program are open to men and women and are devoted to those in the workforce. The College of Notre Dame is accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Universities.
